Use of Funds
The funds raised by Low Carbon World will be used to:
Promote the benefits and means of reducing carbon emissions and so help to build and sustain a low carbon world.
Develop educational resources
Examples of the kind of activities that Low Carbon World will engage in include:
Short-term briefings for mid-level executives in the property industry
Competitive internships in sustainable building practice in the property development sector and related sectors (accounting, insurance, and banking)
Special partnership initiatives with Imperial College and/or Reading University, to include named lectureships, awards, and joint MBA curricular developments
Endowed professorship in sustainable building practice
Development of school curricular materials, in keeping with national curriculum standards for Education in Sustainable Development
Provide research facilities and grants |
