Our Mission
The Sustainable Environment Foundation, a charity founded to promote public awareness of and research into the role played by the built
environment in climate change.

It exists because the urban environment needs change and it needs action.
Its specific objectives are to:
1.Promote the benefits and means of reducing carbon emissions in the development, maintenance and occupation of the urban environment.
To achieve this objective, the charity will via its partners, the media and its own communications promote to both the public and to the business community the benefits of reduced carbon emissions in the urban environment. .
2. Advance the education of the benefits and means of reducing carbon emissions in the development, maintenance and occupation of the urban environment.
To achieve this objective, the charity will undertake a range of educational and training activities designed specifically to provide knowledge of the reasons for and the ways to reduce carbon emissions.
These activities will be created for the public and the business community in association with educational and National Government partners including Imperial College London’s department of environmental sciences and the World Wide Fund for Nature. They will be channelled through on-line workshops and seminars which will be available internationally, local business workshops, school and college based programmes and will culminate in concurrent international conferences which will be staged each year.
3. Support research which will lead to the reduction of carbon emissions in the development, maintenance and occupation of the urban environment.
The Sustainable Environment Foundation/Low Carbon World will provide both facilities and grants.
The Sustainable Environment foundation/Low Carbon World is an independent charity which exists to change attitudes and behaviours to reduce carbon emissions in the urban environment.
