The trustees of the Charity are :
Adrian Wyatt, OBE, Chief Executive Officer of
Quintain Estates and Development PLC
Aged 59, Adrian established Quintain in 1992. He is a Chartered Surveyor and a Chartered Financial Analyst. As Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman, he is responsible for all areas of the Group’s strategy and is closely involved with all acquisitions and disposals. He is also a member of the Donations and Nominations Committees.
Prior to the formation of Quintain, Adrian spent 21 years at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he gained extensive experience of tax planning and financial structures as a Proprietary Partner in charge of fund management and founder of its finance company.
David Elliott, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal
Albert Hall
David Elliott has been Chief Executive of the Royal Albert Hall since 1998 having previously served since 1991, as Director of Finance & Administration and Deputy Chief Executive. He led the Hall
through the period in which it successfully implemented an eight year, £70million programme to refurbish and redevelop the building and equip it to meet the needs of 21st century events and audiences.
After a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford, he worked initially in the Planning & Marketing departments of The Vickers Engineering Group in London, Newcastle and Swindon and then, between 1970 and 1985 in corporate finance with Baring Brothers in London and New York, where between 1980 and 1984 he headed their US operations. He left the City in 1985 to take the position of Finance Director English National Opera where he was instrumental in introducing financial disciplines and long term planning as part of the team which transformed the financial and artistic reputation of the Company.
David was a member of Arts Council appraisal teams of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Royal National Theatre in the early 1990’s and from 1997 served as the Honorary Treasurer of the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith. He recently completed a term as member of the Executive Committee of the Royal Academy of Dance and continues to serve (temporarily) as Chairman of the Benesh Institute of Movement Notation, which merged with the RAD.
Ian J Henderson
CBE, BSc FRICS
Ian Henderson trained as a chartered surveyor working initially at Hillier Parker May & Rowden before transferring to Land Securities, from where he retired as Group Chief Executive in 2004.
Currently a Non-Executive Director of Liberty International PLC and Evans Property Group, he retains an interest in the British Property Federation, where he was President in 2002. He is a consultant to Quintain Estates & Development PLC. Other responsibilities include Chairman of the New West End Company Ltd, membership of the President’s Committee of London First, Commissioner of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Chairman of the Development Trust for the Renewal of the Buildings of St Martin-in-the-Fields. He is a Trustee of the Natural History Museum and a Council Member of the Royal Albert Hall. He is also a Governor of the Dolphin Square Charitable Foundation. In December 2005 he became Non-Executive Chairman of Dawnay Day Treveria, an AIM listed company investing in German retail property. In November 2006 he became Non-Executive Chairman of Ishaan Real Estate plc, an AIM listed company investing in development projects in India.
Sir Terry Farrell,
CBE, B.Arch (Hons), M.Arch, MCP, Hon. DCL, Hon. D Arts, Hon. DSc, Hon. DUniv (Open), RIBA, Hon. FRIAS, Hon. FAIA, MRTPI, FRSA, FCSD.
Principal of Farrells, Terry Farrell is an internationally recognised architect and urban designer with offices in London, Edinburgh and Hong Kong. In practice for over 40 years, Farrell has completed high-profile building schemes and masterplans worldwide. Recent UK work includes the masterplan and design of the new London Home Office Headquarters and a significant millennium project: The Deep in Hull, which houses a marine science centre. In the Far East, Farrells have undertaken numerous large scale projects, including Inchon International Airport Transportation Centre, Seoul and Kowloon Station and masterplan in Hong Kong. The practice is currently designing a new aquarium (Biota!) at Silvertown Quays in London’s Docklands and working on the re-use of the historic power station at Lots Road, Chelsea. Farrell has transformed London’s skyline and animated the banks of the Thames with his Charing Cross Station and MI6 headquarters buildings. The practice is well-known for its masterplanning expertise – the enhancement of the public realm is a key concern. Farrells are working in many core cities, including: London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle and Coventry. Farrell is creating the vision for the recently launched, Government appointed role of Thames Gateway Parklands Design Champion, for the largest regeneration area in Europe. In-depth research into related issues has meant that Sir Terry is frequently called upon to write and lecture about sustainability issues in terms of open space, ecology and the environment. Sir Terry Farrell has won many awards and lectured extensively. He was awarded the OBE in 1978, a CBE for services to architecture in 1996 and Knighted in 2001. The practice’s work has been published in books and journals internationally.

Allan Jones MBE, Chief Executive Officer, London Climate Change Agency Ltd
Allan is Chief Executive Officer of the London Climate Change Agency (LCCA), a company owned by the London Development Agency and led by the Mayor as Chairman. Allan is also an Executive Director of the London ESCO and Chief Technologist of the London Development Agency. The LCCA is the Mayor’s direct delivery agency and implements projects in the sectors that impact on climate change, especially energy, water, waste and transport. One of the key projects of the LCCA is the London ESCO, which is a public/private joint venture Energy Services Company between the LCCA Ltd and EDF Energy plc, which designs, finances, builds and operates decentralised energy systems for both new and existing development.
Prior to his appointment Allan was Woking Borough Council’s Director of Thameswey Ltd., developing and implementing projects through its public/private joint venture Energy Services Company – Thameswey Energy Ltd., the first companies of their type in the UK, and has over 30 years experience in the housing, property, building services, energy, water, waste, transport and climate change sectors.
During his time at Woking, Allan reduced CO2 emissions by 77.5% from 1990 levels and undertook groundbreaking work on energy and water efficiency, private wire CHP cogeneration and trigeneration decentralised energy systems, environmentally friendly waste recycling/recovery and energy from waste technologies, alternative fuels for transport, renewable energy and fuel cells. Under Allan, Woking installed nearly 10% of the UK’s total installed photovoltaics and the first fuel cell CHP in the UK.
Prior to Woking Allan worked for the Greater London Council/Inner London Education Authority for 18 years working on major development and regeneration projects both as an engineer and senior manager.
Allan was appointed a Member of the British Empire in 1999 for services to energy and water efficiency and was instrumental in Woking gaining the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2001, the only local authority ever to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
